Exhibition in Kurb Gallery

AIVDT (Anything Is Valid Dance Theatre) in collaboration with visual artist Tom Penney, have been working in Kurb Gallery for the last few weeks creating an installation stemmed from their work UNEXPECTED-microclimates (a site specific contemporary dance work set in Wolfe Lane, Perth)

You are invited to a showing of the gallery work on FRIDAY 16th of July from 6.30pm and SATURDAY 17th of July, also from 6.30pm.

Come have a look around and chat to the artist; Serena Chalker, Quindell Orton and Tom Penney.

This exhibition has been made possible through the support of Propel Youth Arts WA and Healthway to promote the Drug Aware Message. This project has also been auspiced by Ausdance WA and assisted by the Australia Council for the Arts, the federal government's arts funding and advisory body.

AIVDT Begins its residency at Kurb Gallery

The unexpected continues...

Following on from the performance of the UNEXPECTED solos, AIVDT and Tom Penney take up residence at KURB GALLERY from June 26-July 17, exploring the ways in which the natural environment can be enhanced through the development of a portable installation. This installation will form part of the UNEXPECTED-microclimates full length production, premiering in November 2010.

Drop by between 26 June and 17t...h July to KURB Gallery, 214 William St Northbridge and watch the creative team at work.

Exhibition in progress open to the public:
Fridays 2:00-7:30pm
Saturdays and Sundays 2:00-6:30pm

There will be a formal showing at the conclusion of this residency on July 16th and 17th at 6:30pm, which will feature live performance from some of the dancers.
